Contains alcohol that is also sold as a brand(cooked or not): not for me

Contains alcohol derivatives(ex.: vinegar): only if it's not named after a brand of drinkable alcohol.

I'm against the whole alcohol industry so I don't support alcohol producers that sell it as a drink(even 0.05% coolers or de-alcoholized beverages).

I'm against intoxication so I don't consume food that contains alcohol derivatives that could produce an alcohol intoxication(and I'm not talking about trying to chug a gallon of vinegar).

^^ yeah same, I usually wont eat it if its made with a labeled alcohol because I hate the industry and I feel like I'm supporting it when I consume their products.
At the same time my grandmother uses wine or something to glaze the ham at Christmas time and I eat that. Most of the time I forget and don't think about it.
Scones are often made with a can of beer.

Undecided about lemon lime and bitters. I know you can get non-alcoholic bitters and I might buy it but I don't want to if its made by a piss company.

i HATE drug use. I don't, however see anything neccesarily wrong with drugs, when used in a logical, non intoxicating manner.

narcotics durring surgery for example. or wine, when cooking.

i don't like the idea of drinking alcohol, getting drunk, killing little kids, beating wives, neglecting children, blah blah blah.

i don't think making your marinara sauce delicious contributes to that in a meaningful manner.

much like i dont think taking narcotics during surgery contributes to the drug war.

I serve alcohol when I work at parties, and I don't mind buying a friend a drink. I don't believe in forcing my beliefs on others, as long as they are mature enough to make their own decisions. So yeah, I'll eat food that has alcohol in it. I don't like the taste of alcohol though, so that makes things easier.

I bit into some lasagne and tasted alcohol in it and my first thought was to come here and see what you guys had said about alcohol in food. Thankyou so much for giving me piece of mind it was a horrible feeling! All cool now tho so

They can't legaly sell it as a beverage though, you get the point? It's not so much about the substance rather than about what it's intended for, and what it represents as an industry(legal or not).

theres a reason its legal to sell food with alcohol in it to minors as long as its been cooked, its because its near impossible to get intoxicated by eating it.

as for a rum soaked cake..... id probably avoid that one.
